Last week we had our soft opening alongside our awesome friends at Hoduya Bakery at Keefer Place. The shop is conveniently located a few steps from Chinatown-Stadium Sky Train station.
We are really grateful to owner Matt who let us share the space with him. Our team is truly inspired by his efforts on making the best Walnut Cake Balls in Vancouver- you should try them, they are great!
If you don't know what they are, these walnut cake balls are known as Hodu-gwaja. They are originated from Cheonan, South Korea. These walnut-shaped baked confections are made to order and stuffed with red bean or custard paste filling. The outer dough is made of skinned and pounded walnuts and wheat flour, so they have a beautiful and delicate flavor when you eat them warm. Just amazing!
We are bringing our cookies to Hoduya after a long period of testing and trying new recipes. Having a cookie product that is at the same level of both presentation and flavors to Hoduya's walnut cake balls is extremely challenging, since their product is impeccable.
As some of you may know, we have been featured in different publications as one of Vancouver's Best Cookies. These include Virgin Radio and Flower Delivery Reviews. But we are known for our high level delivery service and freshness upon delivering, which we are extremely comfortable to work on.
